This elite mob has 3 main abilities:

Blazing Cleave is a 360 degree fire AoE with ~10 yard range.

Burning Fury is a casted buff that causes the mob to attack 3x as fast, but do damage to itself.

Fiery Charge is a damaging stun that will occur on random targets that are >20-30 yards away. This is especially annoying when you're just trying to run past these mobs.

General strategy: tankier classes can fight in melee range and move away for Blazing Cleaves and during Burning Fury. Squishier casters should kite, but don't get too far away, or you will be fiery charged.

These mobs are a much more accessible source of Forager's Gloves than Korda Torros even if the drop rate is a bit lower. I would highly recommend having a friend on a low pop realm who can invite you over so you can farm these easer, or use the oQueue addon found the curse website.

Most annoying mobs ever. You can't disengage or run. It's kill or die, even if you're on a mount! Lost me several cracks at rares who popped, because I can't GET to them in time - I can't use roll or flying serpent kick cause I get stunned half way through!

You should choose to kill the Burning Berserker because his drop of around 40 coins, and rep return for Shaohao (15 rep for his middling health and fairly quick and easy fight), make him the best time investment on the Isle if you need both rep and coins.

As Gunhaven has said... Don't bother running away. Just kill him.

A quick tip for those who might be having trouble with these mobs:

By accident, a guildie and I discovered that if you catch them at the beginning of their Forage cast, they will finish the whole cast BEFORE they attack you. It can mean the difference between downing it or dying, sometimes!

These awful things are quite possible the worst mobs to be put in the game since those freaking owls in Skettis.

I'm a tailor and I use these mobs to grind Shaohao rep while also getting a lot of cloth at the same time. Plus, there are three rare mobs that can spawn in the area without much of a commute. I love them, and their abilities are predictable and simple to counter/dodge, so they're fairly easy to take down, even when I accidentally draw two at a time.

If fighting them, try to pull them at around 15yds or while they are foraging. It seems that most of the time when I pull them at that distance, it will often line their cooldowns up so that they will cast their buff before casting their cleave. This is a good thing since it wastes their speed buff while casting cleave, causing less damage to you (but also to them as well).

One thing I figured out while killing these guys is that when they cast burning fury on themselves, hit them with a stun. While they're stunned, they'll still take the 50k damage per second from fury, so they essentially kill themselves. =)

Even though my warlock has a ridiculous amount of health and damage reduction, this is still the most annoying mob ever to set foot on Azeroth. I’d give all my gold to goblin engineers for them to make a contraption that would kill them all.

Burning Berserkers are easily the most annoying thing Blizzard has ever created. One of them followed me, with at least a half dozen stuns (I lost count), from the first bridge all the way to the end of the broken bridge, finally resetting after the legendary cloak effect whisked me across. Not being a tank class, I got dismounted while trying to ride past. From what I've been told, classes that have an immobilizing CC fare better than others with these mobs. Priests have void tendrils, mages have frost nova, hunters can use their ice-block trap, monks have that pincushion thing... you get the idea, lol. Good luck getting past them, and use CC or invisibility!

For those having trouble with Burning Berserker (or Crimsonscale Firestorm), try kiting them over to a tree (after clearing all the Ashleaf Sprites). Standing close to the tree will grant you Sprite Ward, reducing fire damage by 50% and making the damage a lot more manageable.

As of January 20, 2021, these mobs still drop the Forager's Gloves. Rate of 1% seems about right. The spot they spawn seems to be camped by people grinding rep.

Went to timeless isle killed burning berserker's for half an hour to an hour of killing them gloves dropped finally.
